WALK THE MOON – DIFFERENT COLORS

On September 9, 2014, Walk the Moon released the single “Shut Up and Dance” in advance of their new album. Over the course of October 2014, the band released a series of pictures and videos on their Facebook page that hinted at the album's title. The title was officially revealed to be Talking Is Hard on October 29, 2014, with a release date set for December 2.On November 10, 2014, the band released the cover artwork and song listing for Talking is Hard. On November 17, 2014, they released “Different Colors” as the second single off the album. On November 24, 2014, the album was surprise released on Spotify a week before its set release date. On December 2, 2014 the album was released in digital, CD, and vinyl formats. It was the number 4 album on iTunes the day of its release. The album also charted at number 26 on the Billboard 200 in its first week of release.

COLEMAN HELL – 2 HEADS

From the electro-infused hip hop showcased on his debut mixtape, Stark Raving, to the funky nu-disco on his VENA EP, Coleman Hell, who recently signed a recording deal with the legendary Columbia Records, defies traditional genres. As a member of the up and coming sideways artist collective, his music takes established genres like hip hop, disco, house, and pop and puts an appropriately “sideways” spin on them.

DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE – THE GHOSTS OF BEVERLY DRIVE

Death Cab for Cutie made their distaste for Los Angeles known years ago on their 2001 track “Why You’d Want to Live Here.” That distasteful sentiment toward the City of Angels may not have changed judging by their just-released video for “The Ghosts of Beverly Drive.” Directed by Robert Hales (who also helmed “Black Sun”), the clip has the band board a celebrity-sighting tour bus, where a bunch of star-struck navel-gazers gawk at mansions and busily snap pictures. Frontman Ben Gibbard, meanwhile, reluctantly acts as their tour guide.

ARCS – OUT OF MY MIND

The Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach has struck out on his own before, both as a solo artist and as a producer, and in April he promised another venture as the Arcs. Earlier this month he shared “Stay in My Corner” b/w “Tomato Can” in conjunction with the Manny Pacquiao/Floyd Mayweather showdown; now he’s delivered on his promise to be “extra weird” with new track “Outta My Mind.” “Good morning, children — welcome to school,” it begins, before Auerbach launches into a barrage of deliciously reverbed, strung-out riffs

ARTIC MONKEYS – MOLECULES

The Australian band, which features brothers Keith and Michael Jeffery, will be previewing material from Inanimate Objects while touring the U.S. this summer. Atlas Genius will perform with The Kooks and Joywave at a sold-out show at Central Park SummerStage in New York City tomorrow, June 24. The band will also play numerous radio shows and festivals. See below for itinerary and stay tuned for more dates to be announced.
