Young Thug and Lil Wayne aren’t exactly on good terms. Wayne didn’t take kindly to Thug saying he would call his album Carter 6. Later, Thug and Birdman were named conspirators in a bus shooting incident. Yesterday, Thug gave a rare interview with Ebro Darden on Beats 1 (above). During their conversation, he discussed his admiration for Wayne “despite everything that’s goin’ on.”

He said:

“I always paid attention to Lil Wayne, close attention. He’s my idol. He’s still my idol. Future appeared to respond after announcing a new deal with Apple Music:

Thug responded:

I’m Up appears to be the new title for Slime Season 3, which is out February 5.
